Please restate your question, what type of game? What kind of File?

First make sure the game your trying to download is ported to Linux ( I know, I’m stating the obvious). It never hurts to remind folks. You can also go to Distro watch and see if they have the game listed in the packages section.
And pleas edit our question with the Distribution and version (Ubuntu, Fedora, Mandriva), we’ll be able to link you to the correct file.

Well although this isent very informative in what your trying to do, I’ll take a shot at it.. Linux uses a different file system than Windows so if you download say.. a .exe file (like game.exe) it wont work with Linux, most of the time Linux files are .tar.gz or .tgz (i.e. game.tar.gz or game.tgz) then you have to extract and install the software in the Linux command line. although some distro’s of Linux will have a package manager which will make it much easier make sure the game you are downloading is for Linux and not Windows… hope that helps
