Direct hosting of SMB over TCP/IP

Windows basically supports the file and printer which share the traffic using the SMB which is the short form of the Server Message block protocol which is mostly directly hosted on the TCP. This technique basically differs from earlier versions of the operating systems as the SMB traffic requires the NetBIOS over TCP or the NBT protocol so that it can work on a TCP/IP transport layer. Removing the Net Bios support may result in many advantages including the simplifying the transport of the SMB traffic, removing the WINS and also the NET BIOS broadcast which will mean that the broadcast will act as a means for the name resolution with which the standardization of the name resolution host will be on the file and printer sharing based rather than with the individual base which is commonly configured. This allows Windows to function properly with operating systems that do not support direct hosting of SMB traffic.
The technique which is used in the TCP hosting basically simplifies the network which then enables the given set of network which is basically applied in implementing the DHCP server at an end where the NBT protocol is present which in short is there at the end user premise. The SMB traffic hence results in the DNS layer which then proceeds to work on the TCP/IP transport layer with which the standardization name resolution on the DNS broadcast will result in the UDP or even on the Net Bios nbn name with the port number 137.
First, you need to Right-click on the Local Area Connection, and then click on the Properties and then you need to click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) after which you need to click on the Properties and then click on the Advanced option and then finally click on the WINS tab, and then click Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP. In this situation, a four-byte header precedes the SMB traffic. The first byte of this header is always 0×00, and the next three bytes are the length of the remaining data.
