Question by soso: When a virus scanner scans and sees a virus/malware are ALL of them harmful?
I realize that all viruses/malware are harmful, but anytime I scan a computer, there is always some kind of trojan or something like adware.ezlite or something. These computers run fine also. I was wondering because some sites that ask you to install things like video drivers and what not saying that you should ignore what the virus scanner says. Is what the virus scanner doing just for precaution? Or is it legitimately a virus/malware.

it’s true, some are just adware, or minor bugs that will use your connection to call home for many reasons. on most games, makers install back door trojans. and when you download almost anything unknown, it might come with a price tag. the virus and malware makers know what will slow down computers over time, and many minor bugs can do that. although once in a blue moon the scanner is wrong or the bug enables that peice of software to work. knowing whats bad or not too bad would be a full time job, why most of us depend on the scanners.
