Private equity firms to buy Novell
The Linux software maker agreed to be bought by Attachmate, which is owned by a private equity investment group, for .10 a share in cash, or about .2 bil. Novell (NMS:NOVL) also agreed to sell some intellectual property assets for 0 mil to a consortium led by Microsoft (NMS:MSFT).
