I’ve been running my own info-publishing small business for years, but modestly and with a lot of trial-and-error. Imagine how much further along I’d be if I’d had this book from the beginning. Bob covers everything, soup-to-nuts — from how to get the ideas to all the ways to repackage and sell them –and in a simple, straight-forward style. Most of Bob’s suggestions don’t require anything special to get started either. Definitely worthwhile, regardless of whether you’re just starting out or you’re just looking for ways to expand your business.

Lots of good ideas, light on specifics, April 15, 2011

The book provided a lot of good ideas, e.g. taking your existing materials and making audio programs/DVDs out of them, but felt light on specifics and implementation. While reading the book, I would frequently search the web for more information regarding the specific topic. After doing that for a while, I began to wonder why I purchased the book.

For me, it’s best used as a quick “ah ha, I’ll do that” type book for sparking ideas, with more in-depth research done elsewhere.
