I just got a MSI Wind N270 netbook, and I wanted to install Ubuntu Netbook Remix as a side OS. I want to do this, but not replace Windows. I am pretty technological, but I would prefer the simplest solution.
You will need to repartition your disk for ubuntu, ext3/4 then install ubuntu on that partition, it will replace the windows bootmanager and used that it will also detect and give you seletcion to boot into linux or windows using grub boot manager
download or order an ubuntu cd put the disk in and in the window that comes up (autorun) it will say install inside windows do this it will install and nextime you tern your computer on it will ask to boot with ubuntu of windows
good luck hope it works
