Here’s the problem: I have a terabyte drive local to my super slow computer. I decide to dual boot into ubuntu, only to find out that my other computers can’t access this drive anymore. Anyone have a solution?
Yes, it is called Samba and it is the Linux implementation of Windows File Shares. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=202605 This thread will help you, once configured you can access the shares from a windows computer by browsing the hostname of the linux desktop e.g. Start>Run>MyUbuntu
