Linux LTSP client booting problem?

Posted on

I just intstalled a brand new version of Fedora with LTSP and the install went 100%. I just set up two client terminals to boot off the network. They both see the server and begin booting and stop and say” cannot locate PCI eth card”. Is this referring to a PCI card on the server, or the PCI cards on the client machines? Both the server and the terminals are using on-board NICs. I am however, using only one nic on the server. (This could be why) but before i rip everything apart, is this what the error is?
Thanks

It is not seeing the network cards on the client machines.

Are they the same brand/model of card as the server? Do you have different card you can try putting in one of the workstations to try?

You might have to configure the ltsp to “include” the network card driver matching your client machines.
